Every day, we hear countless voices telling us what to believe, what to fear, where to find our worth, and how to live. In 1 Samuel 3, Israel finds itself in a season of spiritual darkness, yet God speaks to a young Samuel and calls him to listen. Samuel’s response, “Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening,” shows us what it looks like to approach God with humility, readiness, and obedience. As Samuel learns to recognize and faithfully proclaim God’s voice, God uses him to bring His Word and hope back to His people. This passage challenges us to ask: Which voice are we trusting, and is God’s Word truly shaping the way we live?
